If you’re familiar with dating, then you are well aware of what cuffing season is.
But if dating is relatively new to you, and you’re sort of just jumping into the swing of things, then allow me to go ahead and break down what this dating term actually means…

According to Merriam-Webster.com, cuffing season is defined as, “a period of time where single people begin looking for short-term partnerships to pass the colder months of the year.”
Basically, you’d begin to look for someone worth dating during the late summer months of August and September. By the time Thanksgiving rolls around, you’d be exclusively dating someone. You know, just in time to bring to all of the holiday events and to meet all of your nosey relatives! Then, you have a person to cuddle with all throughout the winter months. However, the relationship usually tends to fizzle out come Valentine’s Day… how convenient.
Of course, no one wants to go through a short-term relationship like that. Unless you’re definitely using dating as a way to pass time, and keep yourself from getting bored.

While this may have been a pretty black-and-white dating activity, now it’s not so much. After everything that happened in 2020, and with the entire world trying to get back on its feet, dating in 2022 looks and feels entirely different than what it used to!
